DIY Hanging Lampshades

This DIY hanging lampshade is easy to make and really adds a wow factor to any party, reception or event. But you don’t need a special occasion to hang these pretties they’d look nice in a patio or front entrance.  They are featured on Sandy Oster’s Interiors .

You’ll need to find lampshades that have “bones” by that I mean the wire stays that form the foundation for the shade. Look for them at your local thrift store.

Strip off the fabric from the shades, then apply hot glue to the metal frame and quickly adhere moss to the glue. You can purchase sheets of moss at Michaels, Hobby Lobby or even the Dollar Store.

I think this is my new favorite!
